Day 23 of 33

So happy that this work week is over.

There are some massive changes that are about to happen in my life and I’m really looking forward to them.

In some ways I feel like it should be a scary time, there are a lot of things to worry about, yet somehow I have this confidence building inside of me with this belief that I will be ok and that my family will be ok.

It’s a new feeling for me. Self confidence. The knowledge that I can do hard things and persevere.

Feels good.

The camera and the lens came today and to test it(to make sure it’s ok and I don’t need to return it), I took a few shots and it is everything I hoped it would be.

From time to time I get excited about new tech and today was a great feeling, I was giddy. But I’m not going to use it until the challenge is complete.

Another thing that I was excited today was buying a ps5. I can’t really explain why I wanted a ps5, I’ve had one before and it went unused for like half a year.

But now that I sold pretty much all my toys except the camera, I was eager to get a new one.

So for a few days I looked at the listings for used ps5 “slims” and wanted to buy one.

Until I watched a review video, which addressed the joystick drift. Curious, because I got that problem on my old ps5, on two separate controllers that I bought new. I barely used the thing and I got this issue.

So apparently this problem is so wide spread that they even made some elite controller, which lets you easily swap the joysticks if and when they become faulty.

I honestly was blown away by this information and felt a little sad that I just bought a new camera from sony and am staying within their ecosystem.

If I found out that this issue persists and goes undressed before I bought the camera, I probably would have jumped ship from sony and tried life on the canon side.

The new ps5 slim and the pro models come with the same old issue-prone joysticks and it looks like sony just don’t care, because it obviously drives their business of selling more controllers.

I do not want to be a part of this scamy practice and as a result decided to not buy a ps5 again.

I have never owned a nintendo console, maybe now is a good time to try one?
