Still at it!

My favourite thing about the last few months is that I haven’t abandoned my ideas/projects.

If I look through my github… None of my personal projects have received as much attention from me as rid3.net and Byte Bastion.

They’re insanely ahead of everything else in terms of time investment.

I believe in part this is thanks to my TMS, in part this is thanks to finally finding project ideas I actually like and am passionate about building.

They probably won’t change my life in any significant way, but they’re something I’m interested in and want to pursue long term.

I’m in absolutely no rush to push them out ASAP.

I want to make something I’d like myself and then release them to the world and see what happens.

So what am I working on?

Byte Bastion — An iOS tower defence game

It’s simple, it’s minimalistic, right now you can complete it in an hour or two. It follows none of the current App Store success trends. And that’s fine, it’s exactly what I like.

rid3.net — digital garage/myspace for things you ride

I like cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. I want to build something like a blog that brings them all together, with a dedicated garage for each but within one site, one framework. I enjoy discovering the projects others create and want a single place to record them all.

There’s a Russian site called drive2.ru where I’ve listed more than 15 of my cars from over the years. It’s fun to look back sometimes, and I regret not keeping track of every one I owned.

That’s why I’m creating rid3.net, a platform for anyone in the world to document and share their vehicle history. Whether it’s a car, bike, or skateboard, if it’s something you care about, it deserves a home here.
